The General Commission on Archives and History is intentionally seeking to collect oral histories of persons who are not predominantly represented in the written record of the United Methodist connection.

Please use this portal to tell us about your ministry, mission, and witness within The United Methodist Church. Once you submit your story, a copy will be downloaded to your device and a copy will go directly to the Digital Vault at the General Commission on Archives and History.

An automatic 25 year closure will be placed on all oral histories to protect all parties.

Directions for Recording

When prompted by your browser please select "Allow Recording".

When you are ready, click on the "Record" button located below. This will begin the recording and you may speak. A 60 minute timer will appear. We encourage you to keep your oral history within this time limit, although the recording will continue even after the timer reaches 00:00.

When you are finished recording, click on the "Stop" button.
